Winter weather will make a return to the Billings area Sunday.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for a 50 percent chance of snow after 11 a.m. Temperatures will rise to near 33 by 10 a.m. and then fall to around 21 for the rest of the day. North northwest winds will blow between 17 and 24 mph. Less than a half inch of snow is possible.
Sunday night the low temperature will dip to around 2 degrees with wind chill values hitting minus 15. Winds will be around 16 mph with a 90 percent chance of snow that could total 2 inches.
Snow is forecast for Monday, too, with a high temperature around 8 degrees with wind chill values as low as minus 15. East northeast winds may hit 11 mph. An inch of new snow is possible.
There is a 20 percent chance of snow on Monday night with a low around minus 3. Wind chill values could dip to minus 20 as winds will blow around 9 mph.
