Sunny skies and warm weather remain in the Billings forecast for Thursday and Friday, with a mix of rain and snow possible Friday night through Saturday night.

Today's high temperature is expected to reach 44 degrees in the city, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will dip below freezing overnight before soaring to 55 degrees on Friday, NWS predicts.

High temperatures should remain above freezing this weekend, but the Weather Service predicts a 50 percent likelihood of rain or snow Saturday. More rain and snow could return early next week.

At Red Lodge Mountain, NWS predicts around an inch of snow Friday night, with another two inches of powder possible Saturday — mostly in the morning.

Beginning Friday, temperatures at the ski hill are expect to stay below freezing until at least Sunday, when the mercury is forecast to peak at 33 degrees.
