Whether your new pup suffers from separation anxiety or you’d simply rather enjoy a meal with your best friend by your side, sometimes bringing your dog along to your dinner date sounds much more relaxing than leaving him or her at home.

And while you won’t find too many dog-friendly spots in Billings, there are definitely a few that would be more than happy to welcome your well-behaved canine companion.

You can sit on the patio with your dog at The Rex, which is located in the heart of the historic district at 2401 Montana Ave. This local historic landmark, which has been around since 1910, is a fun place to hang out and enjoy a steak and a beer. And it’s even more fun with a dog by your side.

Bin 119 is a quiet bistro and wine bar on North Broadway with a small patio that will accommodate your leashed dog as long as he stays close to you. You’ll love the wine list and the ambiance, and your pup will likely be a big fan of Monday night Steak Night.

The Windmill Restaurant at 3429 TransTech Way is a Billings classic, and they do allow dogs on their outdoor patio — but only during the day, and only when they aren’t too busy. The restaurant has a great kids’ menu, too, so if you go at the right time, you can feed the entire family.

We can’t speak for every location, but the Fuddruckers at 2011 Overland Ave. allows leashed, well-mannered dogs to hang out at their outdoor seating area. But good luck trying to get away with not buying your pup a burger.
