A man was taken to the hospital tonight after crashing his car into a West End business.
Shortly before 5:20 p.m., the man, whose name has not been released, turned off of Grand Avenue into the Radio Shack parking lot at 1903 Grand Ave. and drove the car into the front window of the store.
The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries to his face and head, Billings Police Lt. Jeremy House said.
A witness told police that there appeared to be a mechanical problem with the car, and that the man couldn't stop the vehicle.
No further details about why the wreck happened are immediately available. The Billings Police Department is still investigating.
The man was initially unconscious after the wreck, but woke up before emergency crews arrived. No other injuries were reported.
A Radio Shack employee estimated that the crash caused about $25,000 of damage to the store.
As of 5:30 p.m., about half of the car was resting in the store building. Shoppers continue to enter and leave the store.
