Billings is in for mostly cloudy skies and winds of up to 24 mph on Tuesday, driving wind chill values to minus 15, according to the National Weather Service.
There is a 20 percent chance of snow on Tuesday night with winds between 10 and 16 mph. The high temperature in Billings will be around 22 degrees.
A winter storm watch will be in effect from late Tuesday night through Thursday afternoon. Snow is likely to develop early on Wednesday becoming heavy at times in the afternoon and night.
Snow is expected to continue into Thursday before tapering off into the evening. Between 4 and 8 inches of snow is expected, with more snow north of Billings.
