A 7-year-old boy was struck by a pickup Wednesday in a South Side neighborhood and taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Speaking at the scene on the 300 block of Jefferson Street, Sgt. Scott Conrad of the Billings Police Department said he could not comment on the extent of the boy’s injuries.
The boy “darted out” into the street and was struck by a Chevy Silverado pickup, Conrad said. The collision took place shortly before 4 p.m.
Conrad said no further information was immediately available.
The neighborhood is directly behind Riverside Middle School. Kids rode bikes around the area as neighbors gave statements to police.
