This past week, I traveled to Bridger Bowl to cover the avalanche patrol working on top of the Bridger Mountains.
The steepness of the face above the ski area was amazing, but hard to illustrate in the photos. As the camera lens points downward, the steepness apprears to go away because its relative relationship with the film plane.
With this image, I raised the camera as high over my head as possible to show Bridger Bowl's Ski Patrol director Fay Johnson looking down the ravine.
Although the camera angled downward took away some of the steepness, the overhead shot helped by showing her looking down.
