Major League Baseball has a plan to expand the playoffs and, in so doing, perhaps decreasing the number of regular season games, which currently number 162.
It is problematic to sate the TV viewers appetite for playoff games and keep increasing profit for owners and players in our society of economic totalitarianism?
My solution would look like this: 62 regular season games and 100 playoff games. The regular would end at what was formerly the all-star break and then playoffs would last for three months.
