The Second Amendment has been questioned many times. Each time, the voice of the American people has been heard; "We do not need more gun control." Why won't Congress trust the American people on this issue? How many times will this constitutional right be dragged through the coals.
Now that Congress is discussing gun control yet again, I am happy to know that we recently elected a pro-Second Amendment Congressman Steve Daines.
As the president and the Democrat-led Senate take up discussions about how to limit our access to and use of guns, I am comforted to know that somewhere in the fray, there will be a member of Congress who actually understands how to use a gun. Leadership from congressmen like Daines will help separate fact from fiction throughout this debate.
Much of what is being discussed in the media is not factual about guns. Guns do not kill; people kill. We should support strong leadership and honest discussions about guns or we will lose our very basic rights.

I support Daines and urge him to continue to oppose ill-informed efforts to take away constitutionally guaranteed rights.
