I am fairly certain I have read most if not all of the letters in this newspaper regarding the NDO. There is much more to this than meets the eye; ask yourself what you don't know.

The ultimate goal of homosexual activists and their allies is to totally transform American society so that it completely accepts homosexual, bisexual and transgender behavior as normal. They seek recognition of homosexual behavior as the moral equivalent of heterosexuality. They seek equality for their chosen lifestyle on par with race, color, national origin, sex, disability and age.

Homosexual activists seek more than tolerance, they seek legitimization. Their agenda includes efforts to gain protected status under civil rights laws and policies (like the upcoming nondiscrimination ordinance), implement the pro-homosexual ideology and programs in schools and the military, force the redefinition of marriage and family onto society, obtain full marriage and parenting rights, restrict the free speech of opposition, distort Biblical teachings and science and interfere with freedom of association.

Homosexual activists are working to create a new norm where sexuality and gender are fluid and interchangeable, with neither being based on biological factors, but on an individual's feelings, desires and experiences. The result would be a society where sexual experimentation and gender nonconformity are fully embraced as normal and protected by special status, and where anyone who dares to say otherwise is judged bigoted, intolerant and immediately silenced.

It is time for Billings to push back by opposing the nondiscrimination ordinance.
