April 2 article: Wow, was Alan Hale (R-Boulder Valley) correct when he said tough DUl laws are harmful to business. The repeal of the law would affect and benefit so many. The bars and taverns, local liquor and beer distributors, and the farmers, who grow the grain, would benefit. It would even affect auto body shops and car dealerships (replacement when it was beyond restoring). Hospitals, medical services and physicians, physician's assistants, nurses and, of course, the morgue, funeral and cremation services — all would feel a surge in business.
The possibilities are endless. However I am still confused. With all of the Republican Party's zeal to protect everyone's rights, why do they continue to ignore the right of people to drive safely on our roads, the rights of homosexuals and a woman's right to choose?
