Montanans voted in 2002 to support Initiative 146, which ensured that funds from the Master Tobacco Settlements would be used to prevent tobacco use in Montana. It is working, and we have seen a decrease in smoking in our youth for by 46.5 percent and adults 23.2 percent. Support like the Quit Line and services are making a difference in lives in Montana. How can five legislators not listen to the voice of Montana and cut such funding? It is a government program that is working and making a difference in lives.
