I strongly support Roger Koopman to be our next Public Service commissioner. The ratepayers of this great state deserve better representation than the current commissioner is giving them. John Vincent hasn't shown up to two thirds of PSC meetings. Mostly, he phones from home!
Vincent is also as partisan and stubborn as a politician could be. Regarding Vincent, "What will it take to get the speaker to cooperate on anything? He stalls, procrastinates, avoids making decisions and keeps stating the process takes time . . . I hope when he gets home, he'd be willing to explain to his people the role he played in bringing this session to a deadlock." That is a direct quote from former Gov. Stan Stephens. Evidently, Vincent does not play well with others.
I'd encourage voters to do their homework this year when voting for PSC. Koopman has the ethical background and business experience to put rate-payers first and to check his politics at the door.
