As the rent due is soon coming up, I don't know what else to do. For the first time in years, I will not be able to pay the rent in full. Why? The Housing Authority had decided that the flat rate for a three-bedroom could be as much as $748 a month - a $398 a month increase!
I went to the office to find out why we were told one amount, and now this much. What it boils down to is that we pay or we move. Now housing in Sidney is scarce. Demand far outweighs supply. As we live paycheck to paycheck as it is, we do not have the extra money to move. With housing being what it is in Sidney, where do we move to?
So it looks as if we are stuck. Forget Thanksgiving. Forget Christmas. After paying this much rent, even paying monthly bills is going to be a hardship. We still have to figure out where to get the money for groceries.
Thanks for listening to me.
