On Sunday, the South Park Senior Citizens Center held a Harvest Fest dinner as a fundraiser for our kitchen remodel. We honored our veterans with a reduced-rate dinner and free drawings. County Commissioner Bill Kennedy and City Councilman Jim Ronquillo were our chefs and, as always, did a fantastic job with their gourmet skills.
Local businesses donated to our cause with gift certificates, food, merchandise and cash. Articles were donated to our silent auction and bake sale by private individuals.
Many people gave up their Sunday to help us serve the meal. Pete Hansen provided music to dine by.
To all of the above mentioned, we extend a hearty thank-you. And to all who attended and patiently waited to be seated and served, we also say, thank you. Your support is appreciated. We are looking forward to a repeat performance in the spring.
