Congress and President-elect Barack Obama already are planning to vastly increase spending by providing health care for everyone. Of course no one knows what the cost will be (big surprise, huh?).

After watching our leaders like Max Baucus preside over the meltdown of our financial system due to a lack of financial prudence, why would any sane person want them to be in charge of a socialized health care program?

I noted how their plan would require everyone to join and would cover any pre-existing conditions. This is simply wonderful, but it also means that everyone has to pay for people who have chosen lifestyles that require a lot of care so it's going to be really expensive!

We only have to look to Canada to see an example of a messed up health care program. Their system barely functions and only survives because most folks who can afford it come to America when they want to see real doctors when they really get sick.

If we get the socialized health care system here, where will we go to get the kind of care that we really need?

Isn't it time that we find and elect politicians who care about America enough to realize that we can't continue to give out trillions of dollars like candy just so politicians can get re-elected. We need politicians who can do the math!
