For the 5 or 10 percent of voters who are still undecided and can't make up their minds whether to vote for President Barack Obama or former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, the difference is becoming increasingly clear.
Recently, Romney, the GOP candidate for president, offered this suggestion to young unemployed Americans: borrow the money from mom and dad and then start a business. Unfortunately, it's not as simple as Romney believes. I suspect that most parents with unemployed children don't have the liquid cash to loan — no matter how sound and creative their business plan might be, nor whether the young person is blessed with a great work ethic. No, the problem is Romney just doesn't understand what it's like for a typical American family to function during tough times. President Obama gets it, and that is one of the many reasons he will get my vote.
