This is my public notice of resignation from the National Advisory Council at Rocky Mountain College. The NAC was started in 1993 by Dr. Arthur DeRosier and the board to "advise the board and the college on such matters as academic needs in our country today, possible programs for us to consider, image, finances and just about everything."
As a former educator, I support the college in its educational venues. Therefore, I took my volunteer role seriously as an NAC member in 2007, 2008 and 2010.
Education has always been about accountability. I commend the faculty at Rocky. They deserve everyone's support. Education is more than just a business and should be held to the highest standards. It should be about quality control, not control! I have become disillusioned and disappointed. After donating to Rocky for 15 years, I shall volunteer and donate elsewhere.
Many thanks to The Gazette for the articles, comments and PDF files available online as well as allowing me my freedom of speech!
