My hat is off to students and faculty of Billings Senior High (Gazette Dec. 21). They recognized a need, stepped up to the plate and took action. These people are heroes in my book. The money that they raised will bring a gift of immeasurably pleasure to those who have had no reason to expect anything, and typically do without even the most essential items.
Children are the greatest thing we create on earth, and it is heartbreaking to see the situations that some fall into.
Hopefully this will be a bright spot for many of those who have been forgotten for the holidays. Maybe new shoes, a warm coat and maybe just the thought that someone cares. Way to go, Senior.
