I would like to thank the community of Billings for their patriotic pride.
On March 16, my son returned home from a deployment with the 484th MP CO in Afghanistan. The evening before, I gathered with a large group of family members at Dos Machos to celebrate. Some of us meeting for the first time since we have become "Army Family" and supported each other via Facebook. We were honored by the American Legion Auxillary who presented us with beautiful corsages. The next morning as we awaited the arrival of our soldiers, we were blessed again. Members of the "Breakfast Club" were passing out American flags. A group was on hand ready to present soldiers with homemade apple pies from various members of the community. A multitude of veterans were on hand as well as the honorary flag presenters. Even more, ordinary citizens who noticed the patriotic entourage showed up to show their support. Awaiting the arrival of our soldiers was almost as amazing as holding them in our arms once again. The support of not just our small communities, but the state of Montana for our soldiers and their families is amazing! Hats off to the Big Sky State for knowing how to treat the American soldier and their families! May God bless you all and God continue to bless America!
