this time of thanksgiving, I would like to thank the many people who supported the benefit for me in October. First of all I would like to thank the staff at Fromberg school who organized and put on the benefit. Because of their kindness I’m able to make more payments toward the medical bills incurred from my surgery. I would also like to thank the following for their contributions: Rowli’s Food Farm in Joliet, Coke Distributing, Costco Wholesale and everyone who donated food items and money.

A big thanks to the Fromberg Jaycees group for their generous donation of $500.

Thank you again to everyone who came to the benefit and showed your support. Your generosity will always be remembered and appreciated.

Bill Coty FrombergCentral High mission includes justice, peaceDr. Sullivan of Central High said we have to keep in mind what Central’s mission statement says, when he was asked why he was terminating Mr. Sprigler.

The mission statement of which I am aware emphasizes a strong Catholic community, faith, spirit, academic excellence, service, justice and peace.

I do not know Sprigler, but I wish I did, because the letters written to The Gazette suggests very strongly that he lives the mission statement.

If Sprigler has fulfilled the intent of the mission statement then, it seems, Sullivan has violated, at least, the sections titled justice and peace.
