Axl and Slash are two well-socialized male Guinea pigs available for adoption at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter.
The 12-week-old, dark-auburn-colored pets are talkative and curious. The peaceful pair also like being held.
Many other animals also await loving homes.
To adopt Axl, Slash, or both for $5 each, contact YVAS by calling 294-7387 or visiting the shelter at 1735 Monad Road. Their new owner will need to provide a cage.
YVAS is open from noon to 7 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday; and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The shelter is closed on Wednesday.
A total of 15 Guinea pigs are available at YVAS. To help with their care, the organization needs donations of Guinea pig food and bedding (shaved Aspen wood), Romaine lettuce, shredded carrots and kale.
YVAS also needs donations of large Rubbermaid brand totes with lids.
