All lanes of traffic are now open about 10 miles west of Columbus after a rollover crash Wednesday morning at one point blocked the entire roadway in an area with ice and black ice on the road.
The incident was reported at about 10:05 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Montana Department of Transportation. The passing lane had opened up by noon and about 20 minutes later all lanes of traffic had reopened.
MDT issued a road report update on the incident at about 10:13 a.m., describing the resulting situation as a "complete blockage." The area of the incident was initially described as about 2 miles west of the Reed Point interchange. A later update places the location about 1 mile beyond a ranch access interchange about 10 miles west of Columbus.
