The area was closed to traffic for the better part of Monday and partitioned off with crime scene tape. A half-dozen HPD vehicles and multiple uniformed officers and detectives were on the scene through the morning.

Lt. Jayson Zander said Monday afternoon that the investigation was ongoing and that authorities would not release any more information until Tuesday at the earliest.

Deputy Coroner Tim Wong said the bodies were transported to the state crime lab in Missoula, but he could not provide additional details.
