A 21-year-old man wanted by the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's office on allegations of taking a 15-year-girl out of state was arrested in Roane County, Tennessee, on Thursday.
Garrett Poteet of Helena was wanted for custodial interference, a felony.
The Helena Police Department listed Makenna Ann Thompson as a missing and endangered person on May 24 along with Poteet as a suspect in her disappearance.
According to WBIR News, Poteet was arrested on June 5 by Roane County Sheriff's deputies after the FBI tipped them off that Poteet and Thompson were at a home in the county.
Deputies approached the house and asked for Poteet to come out. He was then placed under arrest for being a fugitive from justice, WBIR reported.
Thompson was in the house with Poteet. She was taken into state custody until her parents could be contacted and make arrangements for her.
