HELENA - Attorney General Steve Bullock has scheduled listening sessions around the state as part of National Consumer Protection Week.

Bullock oversees the Montana Office of Consumer Protection. He said the sessions are an opportunity to inform consumers of services that are available and to teach consumers how to keep personal information safe.

The forums are scheduled at Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell on Monday, at Carroll College in Helena on Tuesday, at the Bozeman Public Library on Wednesday and at Montana State University-Northern in Havre on Thursday. The forums, which are free and open to the public, are scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Bullock will be joined by State Auditor Monica Lindeen, who is the commissioner of securities and insurance, the Montana Division of Banking and Financial Institutions and the Federal Trade Commission. Presenters will include Montana Legal Services, Montana Community Foundation, Montana Bankers Association, Student Assistance Foundation, Credit Unions for Community Development and Rural Dynamics.
