The Memorial Day program at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument begins at 11 a.m. Monday
Following tradition, the 5,000 graves in Custer National Cemetery will be decorated with American flags by students at Pretty Eagle Catholic School.
Memorial floral decorations are permitted on gravesites as long as they are removed by June 2.
Summer hours of 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the battlefield begin Sunday. The visitor center will be open until 7:30 p.m. nightly.
Park entrance fees are $10 per private car or $5 if hiking or traveling by bicycle or motorcycle. Entrance to the national cemetery is free.
