Rollover kills man near Butte

BUTTE — A 73-year-old man suffered some sort of medical problem that caused a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on Interstate 15 south of Butte.

The Montana Highway Patrol reported the Butte man was driving his 2006 Dodge pickup truck while pulling a camp trailer north when he may have suffered a heart attack and drove off the highway near the rest area by Feely just before 5 p.m. His wife was in the vehicle and was treated a St. James HealthCare with minor injuries, according to the highway patrol. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The couple was wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The victim’s name wasn’t released Monday pending notification of family.
