A Wyoming man died and two others were injured when a motorcycle crashed into a car in Big Horn County on Friday.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, a motorcycle, driven by a 66-year-old Sheridan, Wyo., man, was westbound on Secondary Highway 316 when, around 3:30 p.m. and near Kirby, it came upon a right curve in the road and crossed the double yellow line into the oncoming lane.
The driver of an eastbound Ford Escort did not see the motorcycle until the last second and attempted to swerve, but the motorcycle still crashed into it, the patrol said.
The Sheridan man, whose name has not been released, was thrown from the motorcycle during the crash and died at the scene.
Two people in the Ford -- a Sheridan woman, 66, who was driving a 43-year-old Sheridan woman who was a passenger -- were injured in the crash but further information on their conditions was not available.
The crash remains under investigation.
