KALISPELL - A Flathead County official says heavy snow damaged some radio antennas and towers that are used for the region's 9-1-1 emergency communication system.

Scott Sampey is the director of the county's Office of Emergency Services.

He tells the Daily Inter Lake that some antennas are broken and others bent. He says the weight of the snow combined with wind also bent some towers.

Officials say they will assess the damage when the area dries out.
