The National Weather Service on Wednesday issued a flood warning for areas along the Musselshell River in Musselshell, Wheatland and Golden Valley counties.

Flooding is expected in Roundup, Musselshell, Harlowton, Shawmut and Lavina. The river is expected to remain at or above flood stage for several days, and possibly continuing into the weekend, the weather service stated.

Water levels were expected to reach "major" flood stage in several of those areas during the coming days.
