HELENA - A Helena man was charged Friday with murdering a 21-year-old woman whose body was found in a burning house on Feb. 1.

Jared Rosling, 24, was charged Friday with the stabbing death of Jessica Dooley. He also faces charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary and tampering with or fabricating criminal evidence.

Dooley's father found her body in the bathroom, where a fire was burning. Prosecutors said the fire was deliberately set. Court records said investigators found evidence that Dooley was assaulted in her bedroom, restrained and taken to the bathroom where Rosling allegedly used a knife to cut and stab her.

Rosling is scheduled to appear before District Judge Dorothy McCarter on March 10. He's now jailed without bail.
