HELENA — A motorcycle collided head-on with a pickup truck on U.S. Highway 89 in Pondera County, killing the 50-year-old Helena man riding the motorcycle.
The Montana Highway Patrol says the Helena man was southbound near Dupuyer west of Conrad, when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve as he crested a hill at about 6 p.m. Sunday. The motorcycle drifted across the center line into the northbound traffic lane, where it struck the pickup.
The victim was wearing a helmet. He died at the scene. His name has not been released.
