Emergency crews successfully rescued on Saturday a Livingston man who crashed while riding a dirt bike in the Crazy Mountains.
A news release from Park County authorities said that a trio of hikers were in the Rock Creek Lake area, about four miles east of the Ibex Cabin in the Crazy Mountains northeast of Clyde Park, when they came across Bruce Foley, of Livingston.
Foley was riding his motorcycle down the main Rock Creek Lake trail when he crashed and injured his left leg, the release said. The three hikers helped him down the trail because he couldn't put weight on his left left leg and then called 911 at about 3:15 p.m., the release said.
Search and rescue crews could not get to Foley with ground vehicles and eventually called in a Carisch helicopter to take him to mission field, where his wife picked him up.
The Park County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue team, Livingston Fire and Rescue, Wilsall First Responders, U.S. Forest Service and Carisch Helicopters took part in the operation.
