DEER LODGE — DEER LODGE — A Montana State Prison inmate escaped Tuesday morning from the work re-entry center ranch crew.

According to a news release, inmate Steven Dale Robb, 47, of Great Falls escaped at about 8:45 a.m., presumably in a prison vehicle. He had been working on the ranch crew at the time of his escape.

He left in a blue GMC pickup with a flatbed. The license plate number is MSP 344.

Robb was sentenced to 10 years in prison for aggravated assault in April 1998 and 20 years for burglary in October 1997.

Linda Moodry, public information officer with the prison, said Robb has been in and out of the system for years. His parole was revoked Oct. 20, 2010.

Robb is 5-foot 11-inches tall and weighs 180 pounds with a medium build. He has brown hair and green eyes.

Robb has several identifying tattoos, including a castle with clouds and a unicorn on his back, the words "God's Blessing," "Jeremy, Jonathan, Jared" on his left forearm with a cross and ribbon and roses on his right calf.
