RONAN – A three-day-plus search came to an end Tuesday night in the same place it began.
Acting on a tip, Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal officers returned to the Mollman Pass Trail home southeast of here where authorities believe Harry Lozeau shot his brother Terry to death on Saturday.
Harry Lozeau, 53, was taken into custody there without incident at approximately 8 p.m., Lake County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Karen Sargeant said.
The home is where the suspect resides, Sargeant said.
The arrest came a day after a large manhunt in and around the nearby Mission Mountains, where the car Harry Lozeau was last seen driving, a 1983 Plymouth Reliant, was discovered abandoned Monday morning.
Earlier Tuesday, the State Crime Lab in Missoula determined that Terry Lozeau, 51, died from a single gunshot wound.
Harry Lozeau was taken to the Lake County Detention Center in Polson.
