The Montana Highway Patrol says an 81-year-old Livingston man has died after a one-vehicle rollover in south-central Montana.

Trooper Brenda Timm says the man was southbound on U.S. 191 north of Big Timber on Sunday afternoon when his pickup truck went off the road and rolled.

The Livingston Enterprise reports a family member identified the victim as cattle rancher Tom Lane.

Lane not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He died at the scene of the crash, just north of Melville.

Timm says the roads were icy. The crash remains under investigation.
