Bags of Jillcookies

Bags of Jillcookies feature the Made in Montana sticker. Jill Gibbs’ business plan is as organic as the dog treats she sells, marketing mostly word-of-mouth through Facebook and sales to friends at dog shows.

GREAT FALLS — Next year's Made in Montana trade show is moving from Great Falls to Helena.

The Montana Department of Commerce announced Tuesday it will be producing the show March 21-22 at an exhibition hall at the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds.

The show has been held in Great Falls since 1998 but was not held in 2005. The city of Great Falls has produced the show since 2006 with financial help from the state Commerce and Agricultural departments.

Parks and Recreation Director Marty Basta said the show has gotten too large for the city to handle and officials found it did not have as much impact on local business as expected.
