DILLON — Montana Western football coach Ryan Nourse has added two assistants to his coaching staff.

Jason Thier has been named the special teams coach and strength and conditioning coach while Nick Whitworth has been named the offensive coordinator.

Thier comes to Western from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D., where he was a defensive graduate assistant last season.

Whitworth was the special teams coordinator, recruiting coordinator and summer camp coordinator as well as the assistant coach for running backs, tight ends, punters, kickers and snappers at Idaho State, where he coached from 2003-2010. He played for the Bengals and was a graduate assistant in 2001 and 2002.

Nourse also kept assistants Wes Warren, Zach Parks and Jeff Hansen.
