North Dakota man accused of meth trafficking in Richland County

A North Dakota man on Thursday denied federal charges that the trafficked methamphetamine in Richland County.

Brian Keith Salmon, who turns 45 on Friday, pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and possessing meth for distribution.

The indictment accuses Salmon, of Williston, of conspiring with others to distribute meth in Richland County from November until Jan. 9.

If convicted, Salmon faces a minimum mandatory five years to 40 years in prison on both counts.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Carolyn Ostby ordered Salmon to remain in custody. The case will be heard by U.S. District Judge Susan Watters.
