Poplar man pleads not guilty to stabbing death
GREAT FALLS — A 22-year-old Poplar man has pleaded not guilty to charges of first- and second-degree murder for the stabbing death of an Army specialist who was on leave.
Curtis Ray Eder entered his pleas Thursday during a hearing before U.S. Magistrate Judge Keith Strong in Great Falls.
Eder is charged with stabbing 21-year-old Ryan Buckles on the Fourth of July in Poplar. Buckles was scheduled to be deployed to Afghanistan.
