GREAT FALLS — A 64-year-old Shelby man has died of injuries he suffered in a weekend motorcycle crash south of Cut Bank.
The Montana Highway Patrol says the man was riding on Secondary Highway 358 at around 3:45 p.m. Saturday when a gust of wind hit his bike as he rounded a corner. He slowed the bike to gain control, but it went off the road and struck a mound of dirt. The man was thrown from the bike and landed about 100 feet off the road. He was not wearing a helmet.
He was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The Great Falls Tribune reports the patrol was notified of the man's death on Tuesday morning.
