Heavy snow is expected in the coming days for eastern Montana as the National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for the area.
The storm watch for southeastern Montana spans from Gardiner to Baker, with the heaviest snow expected in the Beartooth and Pryor Mountains. The National Weather Service estimates that up to eight inches of snow could fall in some areas.
In northeastern Montana, the weather service called for up to nine inches of snow in some areas, with blowing winds making road visibility difficult.
Much of the snow is expected from Saturday evening through Monday.
