Newly elected Northern Cheyenne tribal officials will be sworn in on Monday.

The events begin at 9 a.m. with a parade on Cheyenne Avenue in Lame Deer. Inaugural ceremonies will follow at the Charging Horse Casino. Activities include prayer, traditional Cheyenne songs, speakers and a feast.

Officials-elect to be sworn in are: Leroy Spang, president; Joe Fox Jr., vice president; council members Robert Bailey, Busby District; George Scalpcane, Muddy District; Jule Spang Sr., Lame Deer District; Tracy Robinson, Ashland District, and Yulberton "Alec" Sandcrane, Birney District. Also elected were tribal court judges John Robinson and Roni Rae Brady.

Other Northern Cheyenne elected leaders are council members Dan Carlson, Ashland; Jace Killsback, Busby; Judy Spang, Allen Fisher and Jennie Lou LaFranier, Lame Deer. There are two years remaining in their terms.
