MISSOULA - Officials have released the name of a 34-year-old Hamilton woman who died in a snowmobile crash in the Bitterroot National Forest over the weekend.

Karen Pelc died Saturday in a crash near Lake Como as she was snowmobiling with five other people.

The Forest Service says Pelc was riding downhill when her snowmobile hit a low spot and became airborne. Pelc was thrown from the sled.
