MHP believes the driver's passenger car went off the right side of the road, hit a traffic delineator post and a culvert pipe before coming to a rest approximately 60 feet west of the pipe, according to the MHP crash narrative.

The driver was the only person in the car, and he was taken to the Glendive Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. MHP said alcohol may have been a factor in the crash and that the man was not wearing a seat belt. Roads were bare and dry at the time of the crash, according to MHP.

The crash remains under investigation.
