A semi hit and killed a man who was walking along Interstate 90 near Belgrade on Wednesday.
The incident occurred just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, near mile marker 299 on I-90, Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Martin Corona said. Corona couldn't release more details Wednesday evening, as the investigation was still ongoing.
The westbound lanes of I-90 from Belgrade to the 19th street exit in Bozeman closed when first responders arrived, around 4:30 p.m.
The westbound lanes opened around 6:30 p.m., but traffic was still being diverted from I-90 to the Airport Interchange, said MHP Sgt. Patrick McLaughlin on social media.
