One woman died and a Billings man was hurt in a two-vehicle crash Thursday outside of Thermopolis, Wyoming, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

The woman has been identified as 37-year-old Candis Peterson from Thermopolis. 

Larry Houlihan, 61, of Billings, was driving a 2014 Ford F-550 south on Wyoming Highway 120 near milepost 5, when Peterson, driving a 2011 Honda Pilot, tried to turn left into a driveway and crashed into Houlihan, the report said.

She and a child passenger were the only ones in the car. Peterson was pronounced dead on scene. The young passenger was taken to the Hot Springs Memorial Hospital in Thermopolis with unspecified injuries.

Houlihan was taken to the Hot Springs Memorial Hospital for injuries, according to WHP.

The crash is still under investigation. Driver inattention for Peterson is being investigation as a contributing factor.
