ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. - The U.S. Bureau of Land Management is warning pilots that it will be conducting helicopter flights in the Adobe Town and Salt Wells herd management areas to gather wild horses.
The BLM plans to gather approximately 2,100 wild horses south of Interstate 80, between Highway 191 and Baggs Highway 789 and the state line.
The BLM says other pilots should be aware of helicopters flying below 500 feet that will often change course and altitude quickly. The roundup operation will continue until about Nov. 15.
