CHEYENNE — Two men armed with pistols robbed a Diamond Shamrock convenience store in Cheyenne, the sixth in a string of robberies that police think are linked.

The Sunday night robbery was the second time the store was robbed in a week. Police said the description of the suspects is similar to those in four other recent convenience store robberies.

Lt. Mark Munari said the Cheyenne Police Department has formed a task force with the U.S. Marshals Service, the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Explosives to investigate the robberies.

Investigators said suspects in the six robberies have been dressed similarly, including masks and clothing. He said it’s possible a group is working together and different suspects have carried out the different robberies.
